THE UNCHAINED


The unchained are hybrid race, created by a group of Necromancers over a thousand years ago when the rift between the worlds opened for the first time. It was a group of Necromancers, desperate to find a creature they could use, under their control, which was more powerful then any other, they succeeded in their task, taking from both vampires, and demons all the desirable traits and leaving none of the weaknesses. They had no need to feed as well, no real desire, though they did have the means. Holy symbols and weapons were useless against them as were spells and magic. Only the most powerful Sorcerers or Mages could harm them in any way but still never kill them only succeed in slowing them down for short periods of time. They were immune to the elements and the need for breathing was simply not there. They could see in the dark or light and were stronger than any demon or vampire they had been pit against.

The Necromancers had a chance however only to create a small handful, as they had to be born as any other creature and raised from infants. Each Unchained was different in power it all depended on how it was raised and what it was taught about the world around it. The race only survived a short time as when the rift closed, sucking all life back from whence it came, the Unchained disappeared, believed to have been sucked back into the hellish world of the demons.

However, the DNA in which the Unchained were created still existed, and though the Necromancers had all but died out who had known about its existence, there did remain a few, who decided it was best to hide the DNA strands as best they could until it was time once again to have their puppets rise up and help destroy the world.

Every Necromancer alive knows about the stories of the Unchained but one had the courage to seek out and find the DNA strands and once again begin the process of creating what he thought would be the ultimate puppet for his use in becoming overlord of the world. Unfortunately for him, he was killed after successfully creating one, killed by his own creation. He did not know the means to control it, and so, it turned on him and then disappeared. That was two hundred years ago.

Today, there are five Unchained that walk the earth. They are neither good nor evil. They answer to no one but themselves and are of their own mind. Perhaps the most powerful creature on the planet, the unchained can have a great array of powers, ranging from the simplest forms of mind control to the total destructive nature of the elements themselves. No one knows for sure as ever have they before existed for longer than a few years. Four of the Unchained range in ages from 17 to 30 years of age and may not even know what they are or even that they have the ability to be all powerful but the fifth, that one was the one that got away over two hundred years ago.

An unknown Necromancer in hopes at discovering one day the means to control them placed near or in Suddenly these four Unchained. He knew the secret was still out there. And hoped that one day one of his kind would find all the answers and be able to once more control what was rightfully the Necromancers perfect weapon.

All Necromancers can identify an Unchained upon contact though no other creature would be able to quite pin down what it was they were up against. As well all Unchained will be drawn to a Necromancer in some way but they would not know why, well there is one who does but she may not feel like explaining things.

The Unchained biggest, and truly ONLY weakness lies in the discovery of the means to control them there is little else known as to how to kill such creatures.

Acquat (aka - Water People)

Originating from the Ever Night realm, the Acquats have been in existence from the start of all living, or even “unliving” things. They are a species of their own and are not to be mistaken for mermen or mermaids.

The Acquats have aproximately the same physical resemblence of humans. The aparent differences being that their toes and fingers are webbed and their skin and hair tones vary between colors depending on that of the water they are in or near(much like a cameleon). As for the not so aparent differences, they do not breathe through their mouth or nose but rather through their skin which is covered in an invisible film that is renewed constantly. This film has several purposes; filtering oxygen from water, protection against slight abraisions and is poisonous to any creature that is not not an Acquat. (the poison makes one become ill, faint and dizzie). They also have an internal thermostat that help regulates their temperature, this makes it easier for them to support drastic changes as well as to make it so they do not freeze.

As their existence is dependent on water, fire in large quantities or even excesive heat can get to them, sometimes even fataly. So though they can be seen roaming about on land, they tend to reside within a body of water, or at least near one, as it is vital for them to stay near a source. Levels of dehydration are aparent by the amount of static in their hair, the more static, the more desperately they need water.

They mainly eat aquatic plant life, and sometimes dying water lifeforms, and drink 4 to 15L of water a day to get all their essential nutrients and stay fully hydratted.

Being so in tune with water, it allows them to have an average lifespan of 500 years and rapid (recovery) from injuries.

The Acquats have a gene code that enables them to pass down knowledge from generation to geration before the child is born. Aquired knowledge, memories of events, as well as feelings that were had, are passed down from the parents to their children at the moment of conception. The child continues to acquire it's mother's memories, as she experiences them, until the time of it's birth. After that, whatever the child learns is from it's own experience.

Though the gene can be a large benefit for the race, it also has it's downsides. (They remember things that never happened to them personally and yet feel like they did.) And though they know the theoretical, it does not necessarily mean that they can perform the actions required as each have their own capabilities. They also have to practice what they know so as to be able to do what they can

Other than the main conversational languages used in the three realms, they can understand and speak several different, perhaps strange languages that others probably don't even realise exist. The tongues are that of any water creature and that of water itself. This allows the Acquats to receive aid from water and the lifeforms that resides in it. It also expalins their inate friendship with all that is water related.

Though they are not, in general, a magical race, if one was to learn to be a water mage, they would have an advantage over others who had that power as well. They also have a natural barrier to mind penetration, this makes it so as no one can read their minds and/or control them.

((IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING THE CHOICE OF THIS SPECIES - Any who chose this race must be ready to create a complicated past as it would involve that of their ancestors as well))
