Miranda woke, her head spun like nothing before and her brain pounded furiously inside her skull so she kept her eyes closed. It wasn’t until she tried to stretch that she realized she had been bound and that was when her eyes snapped open, a mistake she soon regretted as her head gave a particularly huge objection to the near blinding white light of the room she occupied and she closed her eyes immediately and then, passed out again from the pain.

Another hour passed and Miranda woke again, this time, she realized she was laying down, her head wasn’t pounding quite so harshly but instead there was a numb-like pain that covered her entire body. She opened her eyes and looked around, leaving them half shut so as to block some of the light as she did. She looked up and noticed her hands where bound in metal cuffs that were attached to the table she was laying on, she gave both her hands a hard pull against the restraints and then winced. “Damn it.” She said between clenched teeth as the razor sharp blades attached to the cuffs sliced through her wrists. She found that if she remained still, they didn’t touch her, though she couldn’t tell, but only when she pulled against the cuffs did the blades extend. She looked down and over her body, taking not that she was wearing now what would seem to be a white hospital gown that extended just below her mid thigh and she took a deep breath. “Great.” She growled and then looked down past her thighs to her feet, which she noticed were bound in the same manner as her hands, this time though, she gave no pull against the restraints, remember the pain f her hands.

The room she was in was totally silent, save for a low humming of some sort of equipment that she couldn’t’ see from her vantage point. She noticed many drawers and cupboards and as well, took note that the entire room was not just white, but was scrubbed so clean that it actually seemed to glow white. “Probably the reason its so damned hard to see anything.” She mused out loud, her voice not exactly strong, but filled with a hidden fear, hidden by forced anger.

She tired to lift her head, and then that was when she took note of the fact that she could only lift it about an inch from the table before she came in contact with more of those silly and most unwelcome blades; she winced again, now feeling small cuts on her forehead, but noticed that they didn’t bleed much so didn’t worry about them, for now.

Finally she managed to make herself look straight up above her, something she hadn’t wanted to do until her eyes became more adjusted to the brightness in the room Her eyes widened and her mouth opened as she gasped.

Above her was a series of blades and what looked to be needles extended from the ceiling nad pointed directly at different parts of her body, some were just a little bit too close for comfort, one of the syringes was not more than perhaps a few inches from the right side of her chest. She could see a strange liquid inside the syringe, something of a swirling concoction of several different colors, she decided then, that she didn’t even want to know what it contained, knowing the stories of the Dark Mage, she was now even more scared than ever. She started to cry, tears rolling down her cheeks that moved silently to the hard table beneath her and pooled up before finally beginning to slide into the fabric of her clothing where they stayed.

She wanted to scream for help, wanted to struggle against her confinement, anything to get out of her spot, but she knew it was hopeless and that her only hope was that Seebo could get her out of here, before it was too late.

Seebo marched along the path from the rift to the dark tower with an obvious sense of purpose. Behind him were the bodies, or rather the remains of the three demons that had stood in his way just that side of the rift. His eyes were completely red, though they weren’t glowing at all anymore. The color was all natural opposed to supernatural. The veins that would usually show to make them bloodshot had been over extended with his raging responses that night and the red covered all the white.

Stone cracked beneath his feet and some fell into the lava beside him, though the path remained intact. Shear heat so hot it could be seen followed the sorcerer thief as he made his way across the Demon realm. The heat that came with Seebo was far hotter than the heat of the place itself, or even that of hell’s inferno. Space time flickered in and out of regular pace as Seebo and the intense heat wave that came with him seemed to flicker in short periods from where he was one moment to hundreds of meters away that very second.

Seebo was stopping at nothing to reach Miranda and get her away from Dakham’s clutches back to safety again.

She had been watching him, watching the way he advanced through her realm and his actions had made her curios, not angry, no, she couldn’t, in all honesty care a shit about the demons he’d laid out on the burning ground behind him. It was however, the amount of power in his presence and the way the heat seemed to almost envelope him that peeked her interest in this human male that was making his way so forcibly into her realm.

There was a soft sound of flapping wings and a dark shadow that passed over the Thief, if he noticed, he noticed, if not, then he simply wouldn’t. However, there was one thing that the man would take note of and that, was that his way had suddenly become blurred, everything in the realm would become blurred, as if it was being wiped form existence with a cloth in front of his eyes. A figure then landed a few steps in front of him, very solid and not blurred as the remainder of the realm. Her great dragon-like wings folded slowly behind her, remaining at a stance that seemed somewhat as though they were ready to move should they need to, her long reddish locks seemed to dance about in the wisps of hot air that blew about and the long, velvety red dress she wore, swayed to and fro as her feet touch the ground with no sound. Her emerald orbs seemed to be watching his every move as her feet settled to the spot, though it would seem that they were not glaring so much as looking upon him with great curiosity. Her lips did not turn up into any semblance of a smile, but seemed to be set in place to a more casual motion and then she spoke, her words come out in soft, silken tones that seemed to float to Seebo as if in a dream.

“No need to move forward, or back, you can’t go anywhere from here.” She told him in that dreamlike voice. It was soothing, calming even to the most angered of souls, her voice would seem to move them. “You seem agitated, what might I ask is the problem?” She asked, her emerald orbs shining through the haze of the place she’d fallen to be with him.

This creature that stood before him did not seem in any way threatening, nor did she look as though she wanted to argue she looked just simply curios, as if a cat was eying an unknown toy or something, though a toy, was not what she perceived this man as, far from it. She could feel his power, his anger and it did feed her, his torment was like candy tot eh demon queen. She wanted to know him, know who he was and wanted very much, to feel his pain.

He noticed the wings flying above him but didn’t care. His march continued onward without the slightest hesitance from the being above. Even the blurring didn’t stop him moving or even faze him the slightest bit. He only stopped when Kasdeya stepped in front of him and spoke those words that she did. Seebo didn’t say anything to her, only sent a wave of thought. The message would come as a striking blow to most people, even mages and demons, though the queen would surely take it differently. He had no care for who she was, just simply let her know what she asked.

There was no one in the realm that Seebo would take issue with at that time except for the master mage himself. Anyone else would be an obstacle in his path, but he would find a way through. No evil could anger him more and no wrong deed could catch his eye, all except those that involved Miranda. “I want one thing and only one thing.” He finally said in spoken words. “I know where I’m going, so just let me go.”

Dhakham moved silently into the room where he had left his little specimen for the evening. Eh was very excited to know many different things about her, one of them being why it was that Seebo thought he loved her. “Love, it’s such a waste of time.” He said as he approached the table where Miranda lay.

There was the sound of a rubber glove snapping into place on his hand and then, he rounded to just within sight f the small girl and beamed down at her, allowing her to gain very good look at his face, he was certain she’d not recognize him, as the face she saw and knew as Dark, was much different, much friendlier.

“Well, I see you’ve woken up, and tested your restraints. Tsk, tsk, tsk.. You’ve gotten yourself all cut up, oh why do they always have to try. ”He mused and then gave a slight chuckle. “Well now let me see those cuts…” He leaned above her head and turned her wrist slightly in the cuff. “Hmm, I think I should put something on that one else it gat infected, wouldn’t want you to fall ill, now would we?” He stated, definitely not a question.

Dhakham fumbled around in a draw that seemed to be directly under th table she lay on, there was a scraping noise and then the tear of plastic and then Miranda would feel an intense pain on the cuts on her right hand. “Go ahead, scream, it’s ok, they all do, I know it hurts.” He commented in an offhand manner.

The fingers of his right hand were twisting and turning in her dark locks, running them through his ungloved fingers. “Yes, just as soft as I had imagined.” He stated and then allowed her locks to settle back to where they were as he removed his hand.

“You see this?” He asked, pointing to the syringe that she had noticed earlier. “This will be our first test.” He continued. “Most specimens don’t have much of a mind left after its use, but some turn out just fine, you might ask yourself why it is that I will be using it on you first then. Well, to answer you question you see….” He began as he plucked the syringe from its resting place. “I am short on time here, seeing as though your beloved Thief is on his way to collect you as we speak.” He paused and looked at her again. “Yes yes, that look of hope in your eyes tells me everything.” He said with an air about him. “And so, I must begin in the middle, shame too, I really would have like to see your reactions to physical pleasures before the drug, but alas, there just isn’t time for that now.” He finished as he popped the safety cap off the needle and then set it to her arm, found the vein and then plunged the circling liquid into her blood stream.

Miranda stiffened when she heard his voice, his words sounded harsh his tone deep, almost as though he was from another world, it seemed to have a slight British accent behind the other tone, though she honestly couldn’t put it together, his voice was almost like a hundred different voices put together in one, she half expected him to start speaking to her in several different languages at once. “Love is not a waste of time.” She whispered very quietly, not caring if he heard her or not, she’d only responded to make herself feel better.

The sound of the rubber glove snapping into place made her jump visibly, though not all too much, as she forced her body to remain as still as she could manage due to the possible outcome of her moving too much. When he began to speak again, she remained quite as anything she’d have to say would have only succeeded in either making him angry with her, or pleasing him all that much more and so it was, she decided to remain as quiet as she could.

The moment, whatever it was he’d put on her cuts, touched her skin she did indeed scream out in pain, but then clamped her mouth shut, clenching her teeth together when he prompted her to continue. She was not going to humor this asshole no matter how bad he harmed her.

She noticed his hand in her hair, but knew that there was nothing she’d be able to do to stop it and so resisted yet another urge to jerk her head away from his fingers. As he released her locks she snapped her eyes up to look into his face and she narrowed her eyes, putting his image into her memory as quickly as she could.

Miranda’s eyes searched his for a moment and what she saw there was horror. This creature truly had no concern for the living, he cared nothing of anything and that was when he began to speak of what was to come next. The tears began to stream down her cheeks again, faster this time as the needle came closer to her arm. The pop of the safety cap seemed to echo in her mind like a thunderous bang instead of a simple quiet pop.

The liquid shot into her arm and she couldn’t tell if she was screaming or not, the pain it gave her was indescribable. She felt her body buck upward and the slicing of the razors against her flesh but felt no pain in them, the feeling of that hot, burring liquid running through her veins outweighed all other senses. Her body twisted and shuddered, rising several times off the table before finally, she fell limp, unconscious? No, she was aware her eyes still looking around the room, but it was as if she was in a dream, everything, including the smiling face of the Dark Mage staring down at her seemed to begin to melt together until everything was spinning around like she was inside a dryer that was moving way too fast. The heat, she felt so hot, as if her entire body was on fire and once again, she didn’t know rather she was screaming or not, she couldn’t hear anything other than the rush of her own blood as it raced like wild fire through her body, her eardrums pounded and her head felt numb, at least it wasn’t hurting, she had a though, “Yes, keep thinking” She told herself, as to rather she said out loud or not, she had no clue.

This went on for how long she would never remember, but finally, she did close her eyes to retreat into her own mind and that was where she would stay for how long not even the Dark Mage would know as the drug reacted differently to different people.

He might not have noticed but as he continued to move forward as the realm becam blurred, he was not going anywhere, not gaining or loosing any ground, it was as if he was moving on a treadmill. “I told you that moving forward or back would get you nowhere fast.” She stated right before he hit her with his thoughts.

His immense shock wave of emotions and thoughts hit her hard though the demon queen didn’t even shudder at the message instead; it earned him a pleased grin indeed. She, after a moment did give a slight little shudder, but it wasn’t of pain but pleasure. And the demon queen gave a half laugh-moan to the effect. “Nice, very nice.” She commented as she blinked her eyes slowly.

“Very well, it does seem you do indeed have pressing business in my realm, then go, be off with you, but don’t forget my face, we will meet again.” She told him in that same dream-like tone.

Normally the queen would have detained him for questioning, but this pure anger and pain was feeding her well, he was, by himself a completely full meal of emotions and she wanted him to stay this way for as long as he would. She knew if she kept him here in limbo, his emotions would die out, rather he liked it or not and so, she closed her eyes and then extended her wings to their fullest and took off form the ground. A whirlwind of heated air sped towards Seebo, smacking against his own heated advance creating a sort of shock wave that boomed through the demonic realm and in fact gave him an advantage he’d not have hoped for.

The Queen, in a generous mood had just shifted the realm for him, shifted the entire realm, putting him on the road to the Black Tower and only a few feet away from the door that he needed to enter and as well, for some odd reason, there was no sentries posted at it as the onyx doors swung wide for his entry.

No, she hadn’t done it because she was being nice, she only wanted him to hurry and get to his desired location, a good fight was always wonderful entertainment in the demonic realm, and this one she knew, was going to be large.

The Queen now seated herself on top of the tower, just above the room where she knew his target to be, she crossed her legs, one slender one over the next and then held her hand out to receive a glass of blood red wine of which she began to sip on patiently waiting for what was to come. All the while, a smug and most amused expression was on her beautiful face.

Seebo didn’t respond at all to the Demon queen when she spoke, only continued to walk after it was all said and done. He didn’t care who she was or what she said, though he did hear, all he cared was that she let him go. His instant step to the front doors was helpful, but he didn’t blink an eye at the thought. The doors were open and unguarded as well, which was all the less work to do on his way to the top. The sooner the better was the only difference the whole thing made, though it was of course a big difference in a case like that one.

The wave of heat behind Seebo continued to follow him as he marched purposefully through the front doors. The handles and metal clasps seared red in the heat and even steamed after Seebo had passed. As he walked down the halls, the floors beneath his feet cracked and so did the walls. With every step the thief king took, a silent boom spread in his wake like a wave of pressure and cracked the walls and floor even more. The only sound that came from the whole ordeal was the cracking of the structure, even Seebo’s booming steps made no sound at all.

He eventually stopped walking and looked straight up at the ceiling. He was standing directly beneath Miranda, though she was a very long way up. Seebo looked forward again and took a few more steps before suddenly lifting off the floor and leaving a small crater in the floor. The stone material of the floor was pressed in like a circle beneath where Seebo had last stepped, and the walls all around him were pressed back, almost caving completely from the blast. Ceilings and subsequent floors blew out above the sorcerer as he vaulted upwards at a pace faster than any man could run.

The flight stopped when Seebo burst through the final floor and floated momentarily in mid air next to Miranda. He took a step like going down one stair, and set foot on the solid floor of that level, facing the dark mage himself and took one last step towards him. The heat that had been following Seebo the whole while blasted forward to sweep past him and flood the space where the master mage was standing. There seemed a sightless barrier between either of the two men and Miranda though, disallowing anything be it physical or magic to pass closer to her. Even the heat from behind Seebo’s back rounded her space and veered more fully towards Dakham.

“Subject seems to have gone into some sort of trance, this is quite interesting as I have never given this drug to a human before, I feel that it may react somewhat differently.” Dhakham said as the pen furiously wrote down what he was dictating to it from across the room, the crimson fluid of the pen draining fluently from its tip. “She was screaming as it entered her system, then began chattering incoherently before she was removed from her reality. I did however manage to grasp the words ‘Keep thinking’ from the mass of mumbo that was spilling forth from her lips though and as well, believe that she might be on to something there, we shall see.” He finished before he felt Seebo’s presence at the entrance to his home.

The dark Mage then turned and gave yet another pen a swift glare and it picked itself up and hovered over another paper, this one being taken form a rather large file that had been neatly stacked in the opposite corner of the room from the first. “It would seem as though my main specimen has arrived, he is as predictable as I had assumed, I will report on my findings after we have met over a girl.” He stated and then the pen, like the other laid itself down on top the paper and the Dark Mage turned to Miranda and smiled a devilishly dark smile, his comment of meeting him over a girl was amusing to him, knowing that most people met over a cup of coffee.

“Well now, I think your hero has arrived, perhaps too late, but judging by your current mind set, perhaps not.” He stated to Miranda as he felt Seebo drawing nearer to their position.

There was a rumbling in the house of the Mages that shook the room harshly, causing several of the sharp object above the girl to shake loose and fall, pinning her left arm and right leg to the table. “Ooh, that had to hurt, I suppose it’s a good thing your not exactly with us right now dear.” Dhakham laughed and then he was there, Seebo’s dramatic entrance providing yet another series of sharp ended object to zoom down towards Miranda, though not a one seemed to make it to its destination, as Seebo’s spell took effect so immediately.

The heat wave made its way towards him though with not more than a simple grin, the Master Mage swept it to a halt, forcing heat with heat, bringing the temperature up to a nice simmering boil in the room, the walls and floor and counters of the place not being effected at all, as if magically enhanced to keep from harm.

“Welcome to my humble abode, Thief.” Dhakham said with a smirk. “I do hope you have found the lack of security to your liking. Unlike you have suspected, the others do indeed listen to me, it seems they wanted to rip your pathetic skull from your head for their own personal amusement, but I had to object, you are, after all, my subject and not theirs.” He told Seebo and then inclined his head.

The Mage didn’t do anything to counter Seebo’s magic and anger, he simply defended against it without retaliation, though this was for his own personal reasons and Seebo probably wouldn’t care as to the why anyway.

“You seem to be quite the hero to this little girl old man, she holds you in great standing, you know.” He went on then, never moving from his spot, his defenses up in every manner of thought and force. He wasn’t stupid nor was he over confident that the Thief held great power, so was prepared for what ever may come his way. “You know, I could have killed her already, what took you so damn long?” He then asked with a note of true anger in his tone at Seebo’s lack of haste, or what he considered would have been a lack of it.

Seebo saw the items falling over Miranda without even looking. He never did have to move his eyes to look at things and this wasn’t one of the times when he would force himself to let loose. He’d have to keep the shield up over Miranda to keep the other items above her from falling and impaling her more, but that was the plan one way or another. He had to keep Dakham from affecting her too.

Seebo wasn’t about to wander too far from her that time; he’d learned his lesson before. The heat from behind him obviously hadn’t had an effect on the mage so he started to step towards Dakham. A steady kinetic force pressed forward from the sorcerer at the mage while the thief walked forward. “I’d like to see anyone else find their way so fast when having never been here before.” Seebo said plainly in reply to the master mage’s comment. “And I never said your people don’t listen to you Dakham.” He continued, returning answer to an earlier comment while continuing to press against the mage with the telekinesis as he walked towards him, trying to steer Dakham away from Miranda. “I said they don’t respect you.” Seebo knew the power that Dakham had was great, and he had been bested by him a couple times that night already, or rather, he had been outsmarted. Seebo knew he had to play a little safer and control his anger a bit to keep on pace with the mage. He couldn’t let Miranda down just because he was too hasty to leap on the first chance for attack he got. A more steady approach would have to suffice for the sorcerer thief that time.

Miranda was lost inside her own mind, her body though she could feel things, was not responding to them. When the sharp blades penetrated her leg and arm, she knew they had, but was helpless to object in any manner, the only response given that one could even see was the tears that had dried up from before, started again, giving any who would notice the knowledge that she was still quite aware, even if she didn’t seem to be.

”Keep thinking Miranda, don’t let this beat you, don’t’ let him win.” She was saying within her mind, talking to herself, keeping herself within her senses as best she could.

Suddenly there was a rush, as if something warm had caressed her body, something soothing and welcome. At first, she gasped, or at least she thought she did, she wasn’t sure, she couldn’t tell if it was thought or action at this point. “Seebo…” She thought she said, though once again, it might have only been a thought in her own mind. What she did know, was that he was indeed there and with his presence, her mind began to race even faster, her blood moving less sluggishly, carrying the poison inside her veins through more quickly thus getting it through her system that much faster and hopefully, getting rid of it.

She couldn’t tell this herself, but she was sweating heavily through this all, something that even Dhakham might have been surprised at or even amused with. The drug had heated her up and now, with the temperature of the room rising steadily to the point of a low boil, she did so even more, her breaths became faster, and her eyes even flickered under their lids, as if she was watching the two men without seeing them, like she was in constant REM state.

”Help me Seebo, just get me out, and forget about him.” She thought or spoke, she didn’t know.

The Dark Mage backed up a few steps at the feel of the force that the Thief was projecting towards him, the hairs on the back of his neck stood up now as the electrical waves moved closer to him. Seebo wasn’t being is usual rash self this time, he was thinking and Dhakham knew it. He smiled, a smile like a proud father would give to his son for figuring out a rather tough situation.

“You’re angry with me Seebo.” He commented and then laughed slightly. “Good, good, that’s it, come on, take out your anger on me, have done with it.” He continued.

Dhakham still knew something that Seebo didn’t, obviously. “You are forgetting something important still, my friend.” He then stated as he pushed back at Seebo with hard force, sending anything in the path skittering forwards to meet the Thief’s shield.

Dhakham took a few more steps backwards, now only a few feet from one of the massive counters that lined the entire room. His hand moved backwards and something flew into it, but the Mage closed his fingers too quickly for Seebo to see what it was.

Dhakham was well aware of Miranda’s movements, well aware of the things she was trying to say, even if they were jumbled for the most part, Seebo’s name came out clear enough as did his. He raised a brow and took mental note of his subject and her progress. “She’s trying to talk to you, how interesting, she knows you’re here.” He stated, his tone nothing more than that of a very inquisitive scientist on the track to a new discovery.

He knew he couldn’t go after Miranda now, but his damage to her had already been done and really, that was his main intent, to test out his newest drug on a human. Seebo was still his main concern and right now, his test subject was about to pounce so he maintained perfect control over his defenses though this time, he pushed a little bit harder towards Seebo with his countering force, a push that would have sent a normal person flying backwards, though eh was certain that Seebo would do no such thing.

Seebo was never one to invade a person’s thoughts, but when he was so angry as he was, his powers simply took over and he became open to any outward thoughts. He heard everything that Miranda ha tried to say since she was after all, trying to say it. “What would you say I forget?” Seebo asked while putting both his hands up to chest level and pushing back at Dakham even harder than before. The forces of the two wielders met midway at a sort of barrier between them. Seebo pushed all the items that Dakham had thrown against the shield, back at Dakham again like a reverse tug-a-war. He continued to push harder and harder with the kinetic force. Though Dakham backed up when Seebo pushed forward, Seebo didn’t back up when Dakham did so back. The sorcerer actually continued to move forward towards the dark mage.

“I have a very good memory Dakham,” Seebo said to the mage. “I really don’t forget very much.” There were a lot of variables in the situation that Seebo had found himself in, but he still knew that he was quite on top of things that time. He had indeed learned his lesson from the previous encounters that night, and there was no way that the King of thieves would be bested a third time, let alone by the same man and on the same night.

Seebo was being full of himself once more and the Dark Mage smiled at his anger, his forcefulness and his willingness to continue to fight against him to prove a point while Miranda lay there on her table, bleeding from her new piercing

“Ah, but you do forget things Seebo, just like you forgot about the men and women in that tavern, you opted to kill me instead of saving them, much the same as you are doing with Miranda now, you want to try and defeat me for some unknown and outrageous reason, perhaps a large chip on your shoulder?” He laughed and then thrust his hands outwards sending his force sailing against \that of the Thief’s, the two powers clashed together with a resounding echo that sounded much like someone had just dropped a bomb on the area, the noise was colossal and shook the entire building and perhaps even the ground outside.

Dhakham moved forward now, walking steadily into the aftermath of the small sonic boom that he had just created by slapping their powers of force together in this manner, his silvery eyes glinted wildly, his mouth set in some form of sinister grin, a grin he often wore and Seebo would not soon be able to forget.

So far as yet, the Master mage had only been playing with Seebo, he hadn’t even begun to fight, or even use any significant amount of his powers, only just enough to keep the King of Thieves at bay, and nothing more. Now as he pressed forward, gaining more ground and lessening the distance between the two, his silvery gaze whirred about in a mixture of colors before finally landing on a bright amber, their golden glow spreading a yellowish light about the room, slithering and gaining ground about the two men, moving between magic and magic until everything, save for where Miranda lay, was bathe din that golden light.

The heat that Seebo had carried with him would now begin to diminish and a great chill would begin to crawl through the room, leaving those who breathed, seeing their own breath as they exhaled. The Mage himself seemed to take on a bluish color, almost as if his skin had turned to diamonds.

“You presume too much Dakham.” Seebo replied calmly to the mage. “I didn’t forget those people at the bar.” He continued, all the while also continuing to press against Dakham even harder with his forces. “I made a choice, and I’m making another choice now.” He finished, not seeming to mind the drop in temperature at all. The heat he had carried was a natural creation of his anger, and only a preliminary tool in his struggle against the master mage in the tower.

Seebo had been buying time with the mage, trying to force him back into a corner or against the wall. He knew that too much power in the fight could blow the place apart. He’d seen already the effects of his walking through the halls, and didn’t want to take Miranda apart with the rest of the place. His efforts to push the dark mage back had seemed to be working, but then Dakham started to push back. Seebo had hoped that the master mage would continue to allow the pleasantries, but was disappointed to see him begin to show more strength.

“Time to cut my losses.” The sorcerer said with a faintly disappointed grin as a form of shield rose around the two of them, only inches behind Seebo. There were three colored layers to the shield, glowing very faintly as they surrounded the two magicians. One layer was red, one green, and one blue. No object could pass through the shield, no force magic could pass, and nor could and psychic magic. As the shield erected around the two, Seebo faded away and seemed to reappear on the other side of the barrier, quite near Miranda.

“An old dog just learned a new trick.” Seebo said, slowly backing away from Dakham and his own shield, moving towards Miranda. “I wasn’t about to be misguided again, but I’m lucky you didn’t try too hard or else you would have beaten right through the illusion.” He concluded a brief explanation to stroke his own ego, then waved his left hand and sent any item that would threaten to harm Miranda away from her. All items then threatened to invade the shield containing the master mage should that shield fall.

“Time to leave dear.” Seebo said quietly to Miranda as he bent slightly over her, and looked her over to make sure he was fully aware of her damage. He still hadn’t removed the shield from around her, so she was still defended even from him.
